Mr Dermot McGovem, Headmaster, Abbey Christian Brothers' Grammar School, Newry congratulates the four pupils from the school that won All Ireland Minor Medals recently when they defeated Mayo by 10 points to 7 in Croke Park.

Returning back to school, having just started University are Eugene Mc Verry from Mullabawn who played full forward and Niall Rowland from Culloville who played centre half back on the winning side.

Fortunately for the Abbey two players with All Ireland Medals are still at the school and both are looking forward to this years MacRory Cup campaign They are James Morgan from Crossmaglen who played left halfback and Peter Carragher from Silverbridge who played midfield.
