While Damian McParland was packing his bags to go to Oxford University and study Law following the results in August when he scooped 5 ‘A’ Grades in his A Levels he recently received more good news when CCEA contacted the Abbey Christian Brothers’ Grammar and indicated that he had been ranked as a top achiever in Northern Ireland in two of his subjects.

Damian is Joint 2nd in A Level English Literature and 2nd in A Level History. Damian’s History teacher Dr Arthur McDonnell described him ‘as a pleasure to teach’. Included in the photograph congratulating Damian with Mr. Dermot McGovern, Headmaster are his English teachers during his two years; Mr Mel McMahon (Head of English), Mr Gerard Morgan, Ms Annelise Reynolds and Mrs Patricia Hanlon. Martin Davidson was also ranked 3rd place in Northern Ireland in A Level Spanish and has started his Law and Spanish Degree course in Queen’s University, Belfast.
