The Abbey 1st year basketball team travelled with their coach Mrs McClean and Mr Evans to St Malachy’s College Belfast for a morning of basketball. The Abbey came second in their competition which put them through to the semi final of the Vincent O’Halloran Shield. After a very tight semi-final against St Joseph’s College Derry, the Abbey progressed to the final where they easily beat St. Columbs College Derry to win the shield for the second year in a row.
