The Abbey 2nd year basketball team with their coach Mrs McClean travelled to Limerick for the All Ireland semi finals at the end of May. They came up against a very formidable Coirce Duibhne team. And were unfortunately beaten by the better team on the day. They did however get bronze medals for coming third overall in their division and they are 2009 Ulster schools champions.
