The Mid - Ulster regional heat of the Young Consumers Competiton was held on Friday 29th November 2002 in Oxford Island, Lurgan.

The Abbey Grammar School represented by Sean Bell, Gerard McGuigan, Steven Rice and Colm O'Grady eventually emerged victorious but only after a tense tie - breaking set of questions resulted in them pipping Banbridge Academy to qualify for the National Final.

The Abbey will be attempting to win this prestigeous competition for the 3rd consecutive year, in the Ulster Museum, Belfast in March 2003.
