Paul McAleenan Or3 has had his work selected to feature in the Schools’ Environmental Calendar 2008. He entered a competition issued by Newry & Mourne District Council and produced an extremely creative response to promoting recycling as a major environmental concern. Paul was invited to a special Prize Giving Event on Tuesday 13th November in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.

31 schools in the district entered the competition. A great number of 3rd year students entered and the council was very positive about the quality of entries. The standard was so high this year that they created 2 new categories “Highly Commended” and “Commended”. Connor Hogan BR3, Aaron Maguire OR3 & Ryan McCorry OR3 were each presented with “Highly Commended Certificates”. Congratulations to all four boys and well done to all other students who took part in the competition.
