Abbey Pupil to sing in Millennium Forum Concert Second Year Abbey Grammar Pupil - Patrick Courtney

Patrick Courtney, a pupil at the Abbey Christain Brothers' Grammar School, was invited to sing at a special concert in the Millennium Forum, Derry by renowned singing star Gary McEvoy, Derry City's international singer / entertainer and recording artiste, on Wednesday 12th February.

This is a great opportunity for Patrick, who hails from Dromintee, to learn from the stars. He has been singing from the age of six and continued to sing through his time at primary school, St Michael's, Killean, where he received lots of encouragement.

Patrick has won numerous awards at Newry and Warrenpoint Feis and was honoured to be given the lead role in the play 'Oliver' in the Town Hall last year.

Other stars who peformed on the night included The American Drifters, Big '0', Philomena Begley, The Elvis Spectacular Show and Derry's newest star Joanna Donegan.
