As a result of four non-uniform days, Second Year students, Ben Hughes, James McNulty, Ryan Mellotte, Stephen McKay, Conor Henry and Lee Gorman (Oriel 9) from the Abbey Grammar Christian Brothers’ Grammar School were able to present cheques to the value of £6000 to various charities. The beneficiaries of these Non-Uniform days were: Newry Hospice (Ann Kelly); Step by Step (Shirley Agnew and Gemma Gordan); Break Through Breast Cancer (Gerald Morgan); ASBAH (The Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus) (Janet Davidson); Alzheimer’s Society (Frances McMahon), and The Samaritans. Also in the photograph is Dr. Sean Fee (Head of Science) who co-ordinated the non-uniform days.
