Mr. Eamonn Connolly, Manager, Bank of Ireland in Newry visited the Abbey Christian Brothers’ Grammar, Newry and presented Mr. Dermot McGovern, Headmaster with a framed poster of this years Ulster Colleges Football and Hurling Allstars, to be displayed in the PE Department.

The Abbey Grammar have two Colleges Allstars this year, Lower Sixth pupil Kevin McKernan from Burren won the Football award for centre half forward. Upper Sixth pupil Eoin McGuinness plays his football and hurling with Newry Shamrocks. He won the Abbey’s first Hurling Allstar award in the right full forward position.
