In only their second time entering the competition, the Abbey Grammar has remarkably won the Ulster final of the Radio na Gaeltachta Senior Quiz two years in a row.

Last year the Ulster champions were defeated in the All-lreland semi-final to the eventual winners of the competition. This year the team, which consists of Danny McAlinden (Captain), Stephen Corcoran and Sean McClory, face the Connaught champions in a semi-final clash having beaten neighbours St Colman's in the first round, St Patrick's Academy Dungannon the Ulster semi- final and Clones in the Ulster final.
