After many years of attempting to enter this competition the school finally managed to gain acceptance in 2004 but were drawn against the 2003 champions, Pobalscoil na nGleanntach in the first round and travelled to Letterkenny expecting to face stiff opposition. They emerged successfully however with a convincing win of 106 to 86 and proceeded to eliminate St. Michael’s Lurgan in the Ulster semi-final held in Kelly’s Inn Ballygawley with the impressive score of 110 to 74. The opposition for the Ulster Final were St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon, with the winners qualifying to play the 2004 Connaught Champions in Sligo.
