Kevin O’Neill, former All Ireland medal winner with Down in 1960 and 1961 was supervised by Aidan O’Rourke President of Abbey Past Pupils Sports Association at a special ‘This is your life’ in the Carrikdale Hotel.

Players from the 1960 Kerry, Offaly, Galway, Dublin, Cavan, Donegal and Armagh teams were among the capacity crowd as were players from the Abbey MacRory Cup team of 1954 and the UCD Sigerson 1961 winners.
